Though out all of life I've noticed way too many people telling others how they should love, and what love is according to them as if they are the only ones who know.

Lets start out with teenagers.

Teenagers have a bad rap of being known for "puppy love" and that no relationship during this time period of your life is ever going to last past that period. I call bulls**t. I agree that teenagers are still going through a lot of transformation, but that doesn't mean that every relationship is doomed to fail. I know PLENTY of folks that have married and are still very very happy for years later who started dating in their teens, married in their teens even. Now, to say that every teenagers relationship has the possiblity to reach marriage I think is ridiculios as well. But so is saying that about any person's relationship at any age.

The bottom line is that you can't look someone in the eye and tell them,"You don't know what love is yet." without sounding like a jackass. >:[ so stop being a jackass!

I get your point, but good lord. How dare anyone tell someone that they don't know what love is. I think that's a jouney and discovery of ones own accord, not at the hands of someone else. I'm sick of me crying deeply into my friends arms and then her saying,"Know I know you thought you loved him, but--" and I always cut her off there. (No, I'm not going through a break up. I'm in a very happy relationship. I'm just remembering past events) Just because of my age she assumes that my "love" is just heavy interest.

Perhaps this goes even more extreme in telling people WHO they can love, and who they can't love according to their law. Homosexual relationships according to many members of my mother's side is not love. It's just sex. According to people like them--there is something wrong with homosexuals that makes them THINK what they have is love. I've even had some jerk off tell me that homosexuals were just as bad as pedophiles... What?.... really...

They are confusing ORIENTATION and SEX.
Orientation is inborn, according to the AMA and APA and the many many psycological tests they have performed. This is not a "choice," and it does not change. According to this, homosexuality is very different from the CRIME of pedophilia. Even the people who 'turn' gay can most of the time tell you that through out most of their 'straight' lives they knew that something was wrong. Pedophillia is about sex. Homosexuallity is just as much about love as a straight person would be.

Another point to add onto this. People say homosexuality isn't natural. If that's so, then please tell me why many animals in the animal kingdom prefer homosexual relationships (key word RELATIONSHIPS not JUST sex. This has been studied.) Zebra's, Babboons, Dalphons, Sheep, Buffalo, Ducks, Foxes, Elephants, Horses, Moose, house Cats, Pigs, Mice, Lions, Rabbits, Swans, and Lions to name a few.

We always make choices about whom we have sex with. Sex isn't always about orientation - as with rape, many people posit that pedophilia is more about power and control than attraction. As such, it is a CHOICE of BEHAVIOR and not an orientation.

Please do not confuse the two.
